Plenty to Like This Week's Runners

Had a busy old week here with plenty of runners, and a few runners up! Overall happy away and most ran well with a couple of 2nds and 3rd and 4th and a couple of 5ths, in general all running nice races. Couple of horses went to Chepstow baring in mind the ground was good to firm on Wednesday night, the rain came thick and fast and ground ended up soft!!! A couple of them didn't relish it at all so hopefully we will get better ground next time for them.

We went over to Parislongchamp last Sunday with The Wizard of Eye lining up in Group III company again. We were only beaten 2 lengths in to fifth and only half a length behind a horse rated 109 so still pleased with him. He didn't handle the bend very well as he is such a big striding horse. We think we are in the right grade for him so will see if he has another run this year or see if we put him away for next year.

The yearling sales were strong as the new Sommerville Sales almost doubled in Average and Median, so no new inmates just yet but can see that changing soon.

A big weekends racing and lots of interesting racing on the cards.
