Pleased With The Horses This Week
What a tough little filly Dafyre is she ran another solid race finishing 3rd on Wednesday at Kempton over a longer trip and held up off the pace, she was finishing with a rattle, would be really nice to see her get a win in. She's not overly big but she is tough and hardy where it matters. David Probert thinks there is definitely a win in sight so lets hope it is soon. We run Hot Day today at Lingfield, he was so unlucky to be denied last time out, Stan thinks the race will be competitive but we are hoping he puts up a nice show again. It would be great for the horse to get his head in front, he really deserves it.
Tomorrow we have two runners, Hammock lines up at Lingfield, we have upped her in trip and hoping for a big run from her. We also run Fact or Fable at Kempton where he likes it, he is a quirky character but lots of ability, we have an appalling draw to overcome but hopefully that won't stop him running a big race.
Hoping the predicted frost isn't too harsh tonight and the covers enable Cheltenham to race on Saturday as looks to be great racing there. There might be a possibility it is transferred to Sunday if not raceable so hopefully they have some luck in running. The festival won't be long in coming round so loads to look forward too with the turf season quickly approaching too. Stan is really happy with all the two year olds, don't think there is one that you couldn't like so exciting times ahead. The Wizard comes back from his break this week and has done great (as you can see in the blog photo this week) and so has Raintown who's also enjoyed a well earned little break, so it's not just the two year olds to look forward too we hope to have an exciting season with them all.
We sold the nice 2 year old colt by Phoenix of Spain so only the 2 year old colt by Soldiers Call still looking for an owner. There IS SO MUCH TO LIKE ABOUT HIM, YOU MIGHT BE A FOOL TO MISS OUT ON HIM!!!! What you waiting for? Pick up the phone!
