A Relatively Quiet Week Runners Wise
Finished last weeks racing on a happy note, with two great runs from Raintown & The Wizard of Eye at Newbury. Raintown got stopped a few times which was unfortunate as we think he could of been placed in a very hot race and The Wizard of Eye was cruising in behind in The Lockinge, but also ran in to a bit of bad luck, he's a very big horse and once checked is not the type to be able to then turn in to a sprint. With luck in running both would of been closer for sure.
Two ran at Windsor on Monday, Mirabello Bay was returning from a break and very much in need of the run he had a good blow afterward. Very pleased with newcomer Queues Likely, she ran a bit green but gave us plenty of encouragement on her first outing. We had 3 runners at Bath yesterday, the ground was a bit firm for Alainn Tu & Havana Goldrush who did well to finish third as he was not letting himself down. Fact of Fable got well and truly boxed in on the rail and was unlucky not to win, he just didn't get the gap until it was too late. He too ran a creditable third so owners were happy with that.
Good to finally have some sunshine and heard there is a bit of a heatwave on the way so horses will enjoy some sun on their backs.
A quiet week ahead runners wise but be good if could have a winner in there somewhere.
Great weekend of racing and plenty of places to look to try and get a winner.
