A very quiet week for us with no runners last weekend. However, Bank Holiday Monday saw us back to it at Bath with a well deserved winner in ORIENTAL GIRL - congratulations to her enthusiastic owners The Kimpton Down Partnership.

Another quiet day on Tuesday but KINKY AFRO left on her journey to Turkey at 10.00pm only to be delayed at Luton Airport with the flight finally taking off at 7.30am the next morning so not a great start to the trip ! After a pretty horrendous journey, she has at last arrived, has settled well and has cantered this morning, Faye saying that she felt great, so fingers crossed for Saturday (race time is 21.00pm in Turkey so 19.00hrs our time). Let’s hope she runs well and gets in the money.

IGNORE THE ADVICE ran at Lingfield on Wednesday finishing third and our other runners, IVAN’S A STAR and PAHENTE (at Kempton) both ran nice races and we were pleased with them. IVAN’s got taken out by another horse after 2f and dropped back to last but still managed to get up for 4th so it will be interesting to see what he does next time out.

Three runners today at Lingfield SECOND ENCORE, OFFICER IN COMMAND and EXCEEDTHEWILDMAN. It’s back on the all-weather for them all and both Officer In Command and Exceedthewildman have run well on the surface before so we’re hopeful of at least some places.
