Another winner…..
Friday, April 24th, 2009We had a few runners last weekend. QUINNSMAN had his first outing at Newbury on Saturday, jumped out a bit too well and got a bit tired in the end on the ground. He did however, show plenty of pace and we might have to take him back in distance. On Monday we had three runners at Windsor. MAOI CHINN TIRE ran a nice race in the maiden and we will run him over 6f - he will win shortly and will make into a nice horse as time goes on. FIRST SPIRIT ran ok and will pick up a small handicap. SGT ROBERTS was a little disappointing - might be better over 1 1/4 miles.
On Tuesday, HOLD THE BUCKS won by a short head at Kempton - he is a tough horse and was given a good ride by Sophie Doyle (I’d say she is as tough as the horse). SOUTHANDWEST ran very flat, we will give him one more run and then a break.
RIVER RYE should go ok today in the 3.00pm at Wolverhampton and will have Invincible Miss to beat. Some of the 2yo fillys run next week and they would have chances depending on the ground.
TOTAL GALLERY will run on Wednesday at Ascot all being ok and hopefully the ground will be right. He is in great form at home, it is a hot race but I think he is very good - should be strong enough to get 6f better this year.
We then have the breeze-up sales and the Guineas next weekend to look forward to.
